What are the types of Travel Insurance

Medical insurance is mandatory for entry into some countries. For instance, a certain minimum medical insurance is a prerequisite requirement for a visa into the Schengen Area, which comprises 26 European countries that function as a single country for international travel purposes. Further, this insurance should be valid within the Schengen region for the full duration of your stay and it must cover any expenses relating to repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment or death. Even if medical insurance is not mandatory in the country to which you wish to travel, it still makes sense to purchase international travel insurance before you go because medical treatment outside India is extremely expensive. In fact, medical treatment abroad is approx. 3 to 10 times costlier than India. Explore – Our International Travel Insurance is Schengen approved.

Single trip/Multi trip

Multi-Trip Policy: For frequent fliers especially business travelers, insurers offer multi-trip policies which help in substantial saving of cost when compared to taking multiple policies – one for each separate trip.
Duration/Per Trip limit: In multi-trip policy, after commencing the trip some insurers will cover only a certain specified number of days. Example 30/45/60 days per trip.

Single trip International Travel Insurance

A Single Trip International Travel Insurance, as the name suggests, provides coverage for a single international or domestic trip for a pre-defined number of days. This type of insurance is perfect for those who travel once a year. It provides all the coverage and benefit of a good travel insurance policy and protects against unfortunate incidents. This type of policy lapses the moment you return home from the trip.

Multi Trip International Travel Insurance

A Multi Trip International Travel Insurance, as the name suggests, provides coverage for multiple trips taken during a policy year. This type of policy is perfect for individuals who travel a lot due to work or simple love of travelling and go on multiple trips frequently. Instead of purchasing a policy for every trip, it is more economical to purchase a single policy which covers multiple trips. For every trip, there is pre-defined maximum number of days that the policy is applicable for depending on the plan that has been chosen. It is a comprehensive plan which provides all needed protection and coverage during each trip and ensures that you travel hassle free.

There are 26-member states that require the Schengen Visa — Austria, Belgium, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
There are two types of Schengen visas; short stay and long stay visa. These visas can be issued for a single entry or multiple entry access, depending on the kind of visa for which you are applying.
The short stay visa is applicable for the purpose of tourism, visit or business travel. It is issued for a stay period of 90 days with a validity of 6 months. The long stay visa is issued for long term stay purposes such as employment, study, marriage etc.
You need to apply for a Schengen visa at the Embassy/consulate of the country you will be staying in for the longest period; if you plan to visit more than one country. For eg: Suppose you plan to visit France, Germany and Italy for a holiday. You will be staying for 3 days in France, 2 days in Germany and 5 days in Italy. In such a case, you must apply for the Schengen visa at the Italian Consulate as you intend to stay in Italy for a longer period then other countries.
You must return to your home country within the permitted period of stay. You cannot extend the period of your stay while in the schengen country.
The processing time for a Schengen visais approximately 10 – 15 working days. The processing time is dependent on several factors and can change without prior notice at the consulate’s discretion. Sometimes it can take up to 30 days if more time is needed, and up to 60 days in exceptional cases, for example, if additional documents are required.
While there might be a few additions to the usual list of documents for some Schengen countries, depending on the country you are visiting. Generally, the documents you need to share are; your passport, photographs, cover letter, Employment letter, bank statements, Income tax returns, flight tickets, hotel reservations or Invitation letter from a family/friend and Travel insurance. How to Get Flight Itinerary and Hotel Bookings for ScgenhenVisa Application

A visa application process can often be confusing and frustrating, especially for people applying for the first time for a visa. The requirements seem like tons of paperwork to these people, and sometimes it makes them just want to give up. However, no one should give up that easily, since all you need is a little help to understand these requirements better, like reading one or two articles on visa requirements which explain to you what each means, and how to obtain them.

Nowadays, aside of the basic requirements as the application form, passport and photographs, a flight itinerary and a hotel booking are among the crucial requirements of each embassy no matter where they are located or which country they represent.

Many, in particular first-time applicants, fail to understand what the embassy precisely wants them to do.  Some often make the mistake of buyingactual flight tickets and making actual hotel reservation fully paying theirstay there, though the hotel may not reimburse them, not even partially, in case of cancellation. Others, also thinking that the embassy wants them to buy the plane tickets and pay their hotel stay, give up on their hope to visit the other country they have been planning to, since they are scared they will fail to get the visa, and therefore will lose all their money.

Yet, the embassy by no means wants you to risk losing that much money, since neither the hotel booking, nor theflight itinerary guarantee you with the issuance of a visa. The embassy wants something else.

In order to understand what the embassy of the country you wish to visit means when they require you to submit a hotel booking and a flight itinerary, please read this article, which will clearly and shortly explain what you need to do in order to fulfill these two requirements.

What is a Dummy Flight Reservation For Schengen Visa?

All Schengen Visa Applications require you to submit proof of return flight reservations. Whether this is in the form of a ticket you intend to use, or a booked, but not paid, flight reservation, is really up to you and the type of trip you are planning.

There are several things to consider when applying for a Schengen Visa:
First of all, you must decide whether you are applying on your own accord, or having a sponsor that is inviting you over. In both cases, you will still need either a pre-booked or DummyFlight Reservation For Schengen visa.

You also need to decide whether you want to visit just one country in the Schengen Area, or several? And if you are only visiting one Schengen country, you need to decide whether you want to enter that country just once, or twice? We know this can sound confusing, but it’s because there are different visas and slightly different regulations for the different types of travel.

Let’s first examine what a dummy ticket for Schengen visa actually is, and why you should consider getting one. Also keep in mind that if you at any point have visa questions that are not answered in our blog posts, Schengen visa flight reservation offers FREE visaconsultation via WhatsApp (+1 224-656-4761) for all travelers and alldestinations. We are available 24/7 for all of your visa questions; call us from the waiting line at your local embassy if you need! Don’t hesitate to drop us a line when you are in need of clarification or just have some worries to take care of.

what exactly is it?

Simply explained, it is a flight reservation, and not a flight ticket. We write about hundreds of different visas at the Schengen visa flight reservation blog, and have not come across a single country whose visa requirements do not include submitting a confirmed flight reservation. This used to be easier because the use of travel agents and visa agents was a lot more common a few decades ago. Back then, travel agencies were used to book and holding different tickets for travelers. Nowadays, on the other hand, flights are primarily booked by the traveler themselves directly online, and these tickets are always paid instantly. It wasn’t long ago that there were actually no alternatives like a Dummy Flight Reservation for Schengen visa.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF FLIGHT ITINERARY IN SCHNEGEN VISA PROCESS

Schengen visa embassies and consulates ask for a compulsory flight reservation document when making a Schengen visa application. It is used to confirm that the applicant is actually intending to travel to the places on the dates stated. The document is also used to show that the applicant is actually intending to make the journey back. Provide proof of intention to get back on the dates as stated on the application form (where applicable).

It is important to know the importance of Flight Itinerary in the Schengen visa process. When you are applying for a visa, embassies and consulates ask for a number of documents. You must submit in order that your application can be processed. Some of these documents are not only confusing but also where you are expected to source for them.

For example, if you have claimed in your visa application form that you are intending to come back on a certain date, but you have provided a one-way flight itinerary, then your visa application is likely to be declined because of the inconsistency of intentions.

The flight itinerary is also used to show the embassy your commitment to the travel. It serves to show the importance that you have attached to your travel plans. Sometimes some applicants are not committed to their travel plans. They end up not using the visa even after it has been issued.

For your security reasons and follow-up purposes, there may be a need for information concerning your probable whereabouts. This is either in your country of origin or the country of your destination. Sometimes the international authorities may need to keep in touch to make sure everything is okay in case of an eventuality.

What Can I Submit as Proof of Accommodation or hotel booking for Schengen visa?

The embassy or consulate that you have to apply at in order to get a visa to your destination country, may require from you for either proof of accommodation, certificate of accommodation, letter of accommodation or hotel confirmation letter.
However complicated that it might seem, all of the above-mentioned serve for the same purpose: as evidence that you have a place where to sleep during your stay in your destination country.

This proof/certificate/letter can either be a:

•           Hotel booking,
Host invitation – if you are planning to stay over at friends or family members/relatives,
Confirmation by an organized tour operator or holiday tours, or
           Rental agreement / contract.

Though most of the countries will require you to submit proof of accommodation, especially in the old continent of Europe, in many other countries you will only have to show Means of Subsistence. Which means you will have to show proof, like a bank statement, that proves you have enough money to financially maintain yourself during your trip, including the stay at the hotel/hostel/guest house.

Hotel Reservation

If you are planning to stay at a hotel in your destination country then you will have to submit proof of the hotel booking, which usually is a ‘hotel confirmation letter’ which is also known as hotel itinerary for Schengen visaapplication. This means that after you book a room/suite, the hotel will issue you a letter which confirms it.
This letter must contain the following information:
           your full name
           your entry and exit dates
           hotel address
hotel contact details as phone number, email, etc.
           a valid hotel reservation code

Every embassy or consulate advises its applicants to make a hotel reservation at a hotel that will fully refund your expenses in case of visa rejection or delay. If you cannot find one like that, then try to find the cheapest hotel reservation. That is because if you book a room at a hotel that does not refund you in case of visa application rejection or delay, then you will lose your money.

You can also submit dummy hotel booking as proof of accommodation. Although this method may sometimes be referred to as a fake hotel reservation, this is by no means a fake booking. It’s just a booking without paying the price before the approval of the visa application.
To make a hotel booking without paying the price you could use the services of Schengen Visa Reservation.
